To better align the staff’s personal career development and the Company's long-term business development, China State Hong Kong has always been committed to providing diverse training programmes for its employees to enhance their professional skills and comprehensive capabilities.

Every year, we offer more than 200 training courses covering professional and management skills. In addition to the regular courses on quality, safety, health and environmental protection, training topics also include cost management, procurement, contract bidding, business claims, design and planning, finance, law, human resources, and the like, which builds a strong foundation for our future leaders.

By designing targeted talent development programmes by level and profession, China State Hong Kong develops customized training content to enable its employees to fulfil their true potential and together achieve growth and sustainable development with the Company.

The Company's diverse training programmes are primarily based on a systematic development path:

The programme covers both management and professional development paths, with a view to nurturing and developing a dynamic talent pool. It includes courses on cultural sustainability, strategic business development and operations management, professional knowledge, leadership, contract management, and extensive technical training. Complemented by senior management sharing sessions, mentoring, interactive site visits and other activities, the programme helps talents expand their horizon and develop a broad vision.

We have tailored a four-year programme for young engineers in different disciplines, including civil, building and building services. In accordance with the requirements of Scheme A of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Company's management team, the programme is designed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for becoming professional engineers and potential management candidates. In a harmonious and progressive learning environment, young engineers will be mentored and supported by our professional mentors, supervisors, training specialists and learning partners.

The Company offers a three to four years Apprenticeship Programme to help apprentices develop front-line supervisory skills and technical knowledge. After completing the apprenticeship, they can continue to pursue a degree and develop their careers as professional engineers or quantity surveyors. The programme also provides training in management techniques to equip them with the necessary skills to assume supervisory roles in the future.
